1. The workshops
We teach lost wax jewelry making in Lisbon— a hands-on process where you carve or melt your design in wax, which is then cast in silver or gold platted.
Skills you can learn:
- Carving
- Melting
- Filling
- Drilling
- Sawing
- Texturing
- Stones setting (we provide the stones during the workshop)
No experience is needed — we guide you through every step.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a wax piece that’s organic, personal, and completely yours.
This is where your ideas truly start to take shape — a stage for experimenting, playing, and bringing something to life before it’s cast into silver.

3. Your OMIRA silver piece!
When your wax piece is complete, we take care of casting it into silver and giving it its final finish.
This includes cutting the casting post, soldering any earring posts, filling, sanding, polishing, and protecting the piece.
All of this is done in-house before it’s returned to its creator — you!

About Us
We’re OMIRA, a small Lisbon collective of jewelers who love sharing the craft of lost wax jewelry making.
There’s something magical about shaping an idea with your hands—an organic process that connects people to each other, to place, and to the materials themselves.
Our workshops are relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can connect to your inner creator, let curiosity lead, turn mistakes into happy surprises, and create something truly your own.

How long is the process from start to finish?
During your first session, you will learn how to make a unique piece in wax, this entire process will take approximately 3 hours.
Afterwards, if you decide to cast your piece in silver or gold, this takes about 3 weeks to a month to completely finish, including the casting, filling and polishing.
How do I receive my final piece?
When your piece is ready, you’ll receive an email notification.
We can ship it straight to your home, or if you prefer, you can pick it up at our pickup location.
How much will my piece cost to make?
That’s entirely up to you!
During the workshop, you’ll weigh your wax piece and we’ll help you calculate an estimate based on the metal you choose.
This gives you a first idea of the price. From there, we’ll let you know the final cost, including casting and our work to finish your piece. The estimate is between 45 and 80 euros.
